Lord Krishna is worshiped in various forms, the favorite
ideal of men as well as women, the ideal of children as well as of grown-up men….He
was the most wonderful Sannyasin and the most wonderful householder in one; he
had the most wonderful amount of Rajas, power, and was at the same time living
in the midst of the most wonderful renunciation. Krishna can never be
understood until you have read the Gita, for He was the embodiment of His own
teaching.
The glory of Sri Krishna is that He has been the best
preacher of our eternal religion and the best commentator on the Vedanta that
ever lived in India. In the Gita we hear the distant sound of the conflict of
sects, and Lord Krishna comes in the middle to harmonies them all; he the great
teacher of harmony, Lord Sri Krishna. He says, “In Me they are all strung like
pearls upon a thread”.
